Earlier in the season, Belgian broadcaster RTBF announced Jérémie Makiese as the Belgian Eurovision representative. Now, his song, ‘Miss You’ is officially available.
The anticipated Eurovision entry debuted on Le 8/9 on Vivacité. The music video premiered on La Une and on the official Eurovision YouTube.

Jérémie Makiese was born to Congolese parents in Antwerp, Belgium. At the age of 6, he and his family moved to Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, then to Dilbeek. Later on, they settled in Uccle. The town is a bilingual municipality found in the capital, Brussels. Jérémie can speak both Dutch and French.
His mother sings and plays the tam-tam, a type of gong and his father was a member of a choir. At a young age, Jérémie would sing in church, however his passion for music began when he started singing lessons. His father recognised his talent, and registered him into a singing contest at school. He won the competition, and that inspired him to compete in The Voice Belgique.
In the competition, he auditioned with a cover of ‘Jealous’ by Labrinth. All four judges turned their chairs for Jérémie, however he chose Beverly Jo Scott. He went on to win the competition, and subsequently put his studies aside to focus on music and football. The talented singer is also a talented football player, recently being signed to Excelsior Virton.
